Our Heritage
Tilda's Treats was born from a dream that took shape more than four years ago, inspired by cherished memories of the founder’s grandparents. The name "Tilda" holds a special place in this story, a loving nickname bestowed by the founder’s grandfather, who affectionately called her by that name throughout her life.
As a teenager and young adult, the founder spent countless hours in the kitchen with her grandmother, immersing herself in the art of baking. These moments were filled with the warmth of shared experiences—working side by side, learning intricate recipes, and absorbing the nuances of perfecting each treat. The founder’s grandmother, whose passion for baking was a cornerstone of family gatherings, shared her treasured recipes and techniques with great care and patience.
When her grandmother’s health began to wane, she could no longer continue her beloved baking traditions for the family. It was during this period that she entrusted her recipes and baking secrets to her granddaughter, ensuring that the legacy of her passion would live on. These precious lessons and heartfelt traditions played a pivotal role in shaping Tilda's Treats, turning a dream into a reality steeped in family history and love.
